One-handed transitions
Move between smartphone and workstation use with a docking system designed for easy attachment.
Mobile Computing / Healthcare
Move between mobile and docked healthcare workflows with a compatible Android smartphone. The Cool Dock™ system brings together one-handed docking, cleanable input devices, and display privacy for point-of-care workstations.

The Promise of Android
Use a compatible smartphone for mobile work throughout the facility, then dock it at a cart or desktop workstation for a larger display and keyboard. The Cool Dock™ provides a one-handed attachment system to support that transition.
Build the workstation around your clinical applications, authentication process, cleaning requirements, and patient-information privacy needs. A shared smartphone platform can help streamline device management and reduce duplicated computing hardware.
Patented temperature management
CHiPS is MMI’s active thermal management technology for compatible mobile devices. It uses a solid-state thermoelectric (Peltier) device to cool the smartphone when it is too hot and warm it when it is too cold.
The MMI app reads real-time thermal data from the smartphone. Working with any USB-C dock, and a custom thermally conductive case, the system transfers heat between the phone and dock to manage device temperature.
Extreme temperatures can affect processor performance and battery capacity, and can cause a device to shut down. Managing temperature helps support reliable operation when that device is the workstation’s computing platform.
When a smartphone powers a point-of-care workstation, temperature-related slowdowns or shutdowns can interrupt clinical applications and documentation. CHiPS helps manage the device’s temperature during docked use to support consistent performance and continuity of work.
A coordinated workstation
Combine the computing platform, dock, case, and workstation peripherals around your application.
CHiPS thermal management technology
U.S. Patent US 11,075,663 B2
One-handed smartphone attachment supports mobile and desktop workstations. Dock configurations can include RFID or Common Access Card (CAC) readers to support your authentication requirements.
Patented case technology
U.S. Patent US 11,611,366 B2
The modified protective case uses thermally conductive material to transfer heat between a compatible smartphone and the dock, supporting the system’s thermal management approach.
Very Cool with a Printed Fitted Drape and C Mouse provide cleanable input options. Printed key legends help preserve usability with the drape fitted to the keyboard.

Display privacy helps limit viewing of patient information from the side at shared workstations. Combine the display with your facility’s access-control and privacy practices.
Explore Private EyeBuilt around the work
Move between smartphone and workstation use with a docking system designed for easy attachment.
Select the keyboard, mouse, and fitted drape around your facility’s cleaning process and user needs.
Coordinate optional reader configurations and display privacy with your clinical workflow.
Plan your deployment
Share your device, software, and operating requirements with MMI so we can discuss a suitable configuration.
Device compatibility, application support, and available configurations depend on the project. Confirm these requirements with MMI before deployment.
