Our story
More than 40 years of innovation
Founded in 1982, Man & Machine has a rich four-plus decade heritage of being a global leader in computer peripherals and custom engineered hardware solutions design for superior quality and usability to complement infection prevention protocols.
Today, our 19,000-square-foot corporate headquarters in Landover, Maryland brings production, sales, engineering, warehousing, and shipping together under one roof. European sales, service and logistics operations extend that support internationally.
In everything that we do, our focus remains the same: understand how people interact with their equipment, then engineer hardware that is genuinely suited to the application.

Our founder
Clifton Broumand
Founder and CEO, Man & Machine, Inc.
Clifton earned a BS in Engineering from Purdue University in 1978 and a Master of Engineering from The Catholic University of America in 1981. His engineering background spans human factors, ergonomics, and aerospace engineering.
A world traveler and dedicated soccer fan, Clifton has attended more than 10 World Cup tournaments. He has also advised Washington, DC, policymakers on small business issues.
When he isn’t traveling, Clifton can be found at Man & Machine’s headquarters in Landover, Maryland, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, or in his hometown of Indianapolis, Indiana.
